Trusting God

by Ricardo

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

Application:

In Isaiah 26:1–4 He continues the praise of God’s people for delivering them from the hands of their enemies. In fact, this chapter is actually a song that will be sung on that day when Christ establishes his kingdom. Although God will tear down the strongholds of wicked nations, in the kingdom the redeemed will have a strong city (26:1). This is Jerusalem, the capital city of the King. Believers can claim this promise: You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace (26:3). This peace is not only valid in the kingdom age, but also for all those who tune their minds to God’s spiritual realities.*

To experience the perfect peace mentioned in this verse, one must first understand the relationship between trust and focus. Trusting in God helps to stabilize our hearts, while a mind that is focused on Him can shield us from life’s chaos. When we align our thoughts with God’s promises, we can guard our hearts against anxiety and fear.

Here are a few practical steps to cultivate this peace in your life:

  • Prayer and Meditation: Spend time daily in prayer, aligning your thoughts with God’s word.
  • Scripture Reading: Engage with passages that remind you of God’s faithfulness. Isaiah 26:3 is a great place to start!
  • Community Support: Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who also seek peace through faith.

By incorporating these practices, you can embrace the perfect peace that Isaiah speaks of, fostering an environment where trust in God flourishes despite external challenges.

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
