Isaiah 55:8-9
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Application:

God’s invitation was gracious, but it was urgent. The wicked and the unrighteous were warned to abandon their evil ways and thoughts and return to the Lord for forgiveness and restoration to his favor (Isaiah 55:7). God can forgive even the worst of sinners, but it requires repentance!*

If we’re honest, grace does not make sense to us because it does not reflect how people treat one another on earth. But God’s perspective is not our perspective, which is why we need a divine translator. We need the Holy Spirit to enable us to have a heavenly perspective; we need “the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). To walk in God’s ways, we must assimilate God’s thoughts.*

We are given the Holy Spirit when we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and obey Him. Only through the Holy Spirit of God can we make sense of His ways, which are unsearchable to the natural mind and His judgments past finding out (Romans 11:33-35).
