John 10:7, 10:9-10
Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Application:
Since the people couldn’t grasp the meaning of Jesus’s illustration, he made it plain: Truly I tell you, I am the door for the sheep (10:7). To enter the safety of the pen or to go out and find pasture, the sheep have to go through the gate (10:9). Jesus is “the way” to safety and life (14:6). We must go through him to be saved (10:9). Thieves come to destroy, but Jesus came to give life and to give it in abundance (10:10).
Abundant life is the experience of the divine resources necessary to live a life in fellowship with God. Jesus doesn’t want you merely to possess eternal life, but also to experience life fully. Eternal life is a supernatural quality of life that is superior to man’s natural state and capacities, giving man the enablement to live life righteously and exercise kingdom authority over that which He entrusted to us.
Following the shepherd leads to blessing, joy, and a growing experience of eternal life. It allows him to rebuke and reverse the enemy’s attempts at blocking the blessings, purpose, and spiritual fulfillment God has for your life (see Joel 2:25; Mal 3:11).

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
