Proverbs 21:21
He who follows righteousness and mercy
Finds life, righteousness, and honor.

Application:

Just as the person who pursues evil will encounter it, the person who seeks righteousness will find it. The reward for wisdom and righteousness is longevity and success.

Those who fervently desire and diligently and consistently endeavor to attain righteousness and mercy shall certainly receive from God what is rightfully theirs, either from God, by His gracious promise or from people whose hearts God will direct to act justly and kindly toward them.

In Matthew 5:6, Jesus Christ says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” 

The key is to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness first, and all our needs will be provided for us, including long life, honor, and prosperity (Matthew 6:31-33, 3 John 1:2). In other words, we place Jesus and His kingdom first in our lives, then people, and finally ourselves.  

Let us trust in and obey Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He is willing to give us the Kingdom (Luke 12:32).
