Hebrews 12:28
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,
Application:
As a follower of Jesus Christ, you are part of His kingdom. That’s great news because Christ’s kingdom is unshakable, and everything around you is under its authority. To fulfill His purposes for you, He will shake you loose from anything that isn’t part of His kingdom. So instead of grasping onto trembling and wobbling earthly things, let’s be thankful.
When your world is shaken, serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe (12:28). Why? Because our God is a consuming fire (12:29). In the Old Testament era, when animals were placed on the sacrificial altar, fire would consume them. The fire burned up the carcass with the positive intent of offering a sacrifice to the Lord.
Tomorrow, you might press a hot iron to your wrinkled clothes. But your intention isn’t to ruin them; it’s to remove the wrinkles so your garment fits to wear. Guess what? God wants to wear you and look good in you. So He will pour out a consuming fire on you for your benefit. Even though there will be steam and heat, you’ll look good when He’s finished.

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
