Acts 20:24
But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Application:
After describing his past ministry, Paul explained his current circumstances. He was traveling to Jerusalem, compelled by the Spirit (this is when God puts a vice grip on your soul, confirming his purpose for you and urging you in a particular direction) (20:22).
He was unaware of exactly what lay ahead, but he knew it would involve chains and afflictions (20:23). Yet, despite his trials and uncertainties, Paul maintained an eternal perspective: I consider my life of no value to myself. Instead, what he valued above all things was the ministry he had received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace. Therefore, Paul aimed to faithfully finish his course and reach the finish line (20:24).
Are you ready to live the rest of your life the same way? Or is your testimony, instead, “I haven’t even tried to determine God’s will for my life”? Don’t let your days slip away. Pursue God and His plans for you. Whatever the future holds, Paul wanted to complete his life, saying in essence, “I have done what God put me on earth to do” (see 2 Tim 4:6-8).
What about you? Do you have family members, friends, or co-workers you’ve never shared the gospel with? Take advantage of God-given opportunities to make Christ known to those in your circle of influence. Don’t hesitate to help someone understand how to know God, escape eternal judgment, and live under His rule as a kingdom disciple.

Disclaimer
When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
