God’s Purpose

John 3:17
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Application:

The Father’s purpose in sending his Son into the world was to bring salvation, not condemnation (3:17). Motivated by love (3:16), God acted to save the world (3:17). Condemnation only comes to the one who does not believe in the only begotten Son of God (3:18). Salvation from sin and judgment is freely available. However, if you reject the miraculous cure that the doctor offers, don’t blame him when you fall victim to your fatal illness.*

All humans are creations of God, whether they perform good deeds or bad ones. However, only those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ become children of God, apart from their deeds, born again by the Holy Spirit, not by the will of the flesh (John 1:12-13). The Father’s purpose is to conform us to the image of His only begotten Son once we are born again and called according to His purposes (Romans 8:28-29).

Those who prefer darkness to light, attempting (in vain) to conceal their sinful deeds (3:19-20), will face eternal judgment for rejecting the gift of God.*

Those who embrace the truth and align their lives with it come to the light to demonstrate that their good works have been accomplished by God (3:21). Unbelievers are accountable for their evil deeds. At the same time, believers understand that God deserves the glory for their good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Nicodemus faced a challenge to step out of the darkness and into the light (see 3:1-2).*

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
