Godly Women

Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

Application:

Time has a way of erasing beauty. No matter how physically attractive one is in youth, that face in the mirror will inevitably change. The years and decades ensure this for all of us. What will last, though, is the inward person being renewed day by day, even while the outward person is perishing (see 2 Cor 4:16-17). Ideally, a woman’s internal class and her divine fear of God will shine, and those are beauty indicators that time can’t erase.

The secret to this lady’s modus operandi (Proverbs 31:10-31) lies in her fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10), not condemning fear, but reverence for God.

The reason she was wise, could prioritize her family, and had everything in order was that she took God seriously. She maintained a divine worldview. The marketplace didn’t control her; her friends didn’t control her; the television didn’t control her. God controlled her, so her decisions were divinely authored.

Since she’s a woman who goes the extra mile, let her actions bring her praise. The reason we often forget to commend women of excellence in our marriages and homes is that we become accustomed to them. We take them for granted. However, offering praise is like watering a flower, allowing its buds to open. So, praise the godly women in your life and watch them blossom. This is how God designed life to be lived, so let’s be wise and live accordingly.

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
