Hebrews 7:25
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Application:
As noted in Hebrews 5:9, the author is not discussing salvation regarding forgiveness of sin and eternal life in 7:25. He’s addressing those who are already Christians. He’s referring to being delivered from and through trials and circumstances in this life.
Since Jesus Christ is a permanent priest with no breaks in his schedule and no time off, he can always deliver. His full-time role is to intercede for believers and to rescue them from the power of sin, Satan, and adverse circumstances as they draw near to him (see 4:16).
However, your deliverance is tied to your obedience (5:9) and your coming to God through him (7:25). If you “draw near to God,” he “will draw near to you” (Jas 4:8). When you need deliverance, that is your invitation to go to “the throne of grace with boldness” so you can receive mercy and grace at the right time (Heb 4:16).
It’s important to remember that there are two forms of deliverance.
The first is deliverance from your trial. That’s when God removes you from the circumstances.
The second kind is deliverance through a trial. Sometimes God does not take you out of your circumstances; instead, He walks you through them. For instance, God didn’t deliver the young Hebrew men from Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace. He joined them and delivered them through it (Dan 3:1–30).

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
