Hebrews 12:2
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Application:
Have you ever been running and felt like quitting? Then, someone runs alongside you and encourages you to keep going, enabling you to go farther than you could have on your own. When this happens, your focus shifts from the pain to the person helping you, and you gain a second wind.
In the same way, if we maintain our focus on Him, Jesus will empower us to persevere through our growth and fulfill our destiny. To attain spiritual victory in our Christian journey, our lives must center on a close relationship with Jesus.
How did Jesus himself reach the finish line? For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding the shame.
The joy would arrive on Sunday, but the shame must be endured on Friday.
The Son of God persevered through Friday by keeping his eyes on Sunday. We need no better example. When He ascended back to the Father in heaven, He sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (12:2).
Regardless of the suffering and trials we’re facing, know that resurrection day is approaching. The author encourages his readers to emulate Jesus so we won’t grow weary and give up (12:3).

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
