John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Application:
Here is what may be the most well-known verse in the Bible: God loved the people of the world, and His love was not sentimental. Instead, it inspired Him to take action.
God the Father gave His only begotten Son as a substitute for sinful humanity. He would die in their place, carrying their sins. Much like the imagery of the Passover Lamb, which was slain to protect God’s people from the Angel of Death in Exodus 12, the blood of God’s only begotten Son redeems us from death, hell, and the grave.
However, salvation from sin through the Son requires faith: Anyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
When you trust Jesus alone as your sin-bearer, divine judgment is lifted, and eternal life is graciously granted.
“He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,” or, in the language of Paul, “spared not His own Son” (Ro 8:32), or in that addressed to Abraham when ready to offer Isaac on the altar, “withheld not His Son, His only Son, whom He loved” (Ge 22:16).

Disclaimer
When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans In Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible.
