Did I live the truth to the ones I love?
Welcome, friends, brothers, and sisters in Christ.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcome to my blog!
Today, I am reflecting on a song by Casting Crowns:
Only Jesus
Every year, we celebrate the love and joy in our lives. The host fills the table with delicious food and drinks, and we gather around to share stories and laughter. We hold hands, close our eyes, and give thanks for all the blessings in our lives. It’s a time to connect with each other and with God, and it’s a time to feel grateful for the amazing life we have.
After praying, we open our eyes, and I can’t help but feel that some of the people at the table might think, “Good riddance, glad the religious stuff is over! Let’s have some fun, eat, and celebrate.”
After the food comes the gifts. We gather around the Christmas tree and let the gift-giving magic begin! Watching our loved ones’ smiles as they unwrap our thoughtful presents is pure joy.
It warms my heart to see the happiness and joy in the ones we love, especially our little ones. We work hard all year round to ensure their emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
Once the gifts are unwrapped and the party’s over, we return to work, making a living and building a name for ourselves. Christmas is left behind. We work hard to leave a lasting legacy for our loved ones after we’re gone.
Yet, the song referenced hits me hard in my soul! How will the ones I love remember me when I am gone?
Will my loved ones remember me by:
My hard work and being an excellent provider?
My jokes?
My music, my dancing?
The material things I gave them?
The parties?
Or will they remember me based on how I lived my life?
Was there something in me that they wondered about, something peculiar?
Did I set an example that they can follow? An example that will point them to the way, the truth, and the life?
Jesus of Nazareth!
John 14:6
I’m not referring to religion, as it’s a universal concept. I’m talking about a relationship and having a life of faith in the one and only name that holds significance in both heaven and earth!
Jesus of Nazareth!
Philippians 2:9-11
My family and all the wonderful people God has brought into my life mean the world to me. I cherish the thought of them being with me in heaven, where true happiness, joy, and well-being will last forever. I hope they’ll find interest in God and the Holy Bible, reading it, asking questions, and seeking answers. The Bible is like God’s love letter and a roadmap for us. I love reading it and sharing its wisdom with others.
There’s nothing that makes me happier than when someone asks me about a passage in the Bible. The Bible is all about Jesus and His incredible love for us!
Unfortunately, some people find happiness in the world’s system and their beliefs. They believe that Christianity has no power and only keeps them from having fun and enjoying life.
Sometimes, I feel like I’m stuck. I can’t seem to show them Jesus; the world around them is so much fun and exciting. And when I mess up and sin, they see me as weak, frail, and imperfect.
When I pass away, I don’t want to be remembered like the world remembers its dead. Instead, I want to ensure my loved ones are cared for emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Was I a priest to them?
I would like to be remembered as the guy who boldly proclaimed, “Trust and follow Jesus!”
I will fail you.
He won’t.
1 Corinthians 2:2
Christmas is only about this and nothing else:
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Galatians 4:4-7
Christmas holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of the profound gift of love and compassion bestowed upon us by Jesus Christ. It’s a time of reflection and gratitude for our Creator rather than being consumed by materialism and commercialism.
Have you received the Gift?
Have you opened the Gift yet?
Abba, Father!
Thank you, dear God, for being such a wonderful Creator! Thank you for sending Jesus to save us from our mistakes and sins. I pray that you give us the strength to share the love of Jesus with the people we care about, the reason we celebrate Christmas. Nothing is more important than believing in, trusting in, and having faith in your Son. Our lives are short. I pray you open the eyes of those who don’t yet see the truth. I pray our message will only point to Jesus!
I pray in the name and authority of Jesus Christ,
Amen!

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans In Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible.
