2 Timothy 1:9
who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,
Application:
Why should we be willing to suffer for the gospel?*
Because through it, God saved us—not by our works—but according to his own purpose and based on his grace, which he revealed to us through his Son, Jesus Christ.*
God planned this in his love before time began, and it has been made evident through the Son’s appearance as our Savior. Through his sacrificial atoning death on the cross, Christ abolished death and brought us life and immortality … through the gospel.*
The mere possibility of death should not negate an effective ministry, as it is no longer a concern for the believer.*
Paul emphasizes that God chose us before the foundation of the earth, as stated in Ephesians 1:4-5:
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
Our service to God is not meant to attain salvation, but rather to serve as an act of worship and praise for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

When God inspires me, I write blogs. Consider this writing as a Bible study. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, search the Scriptures to determine whether what I write is so. Always consult with your church ministers about biblical matters. I am also not a professional writer, so some grammar or spelling errors may be present. I try my best to write as efficiently as possible. Your brother in Christ, Ricardo
